365 Days of Happy

Hello Friends~ Welcome to "365 Days of Happy: A Photoblog of Happy Things." I am a lover of photography and this is my attempt to document both the little and big things that bring so much happiness to my life. So often I find myself getting lost in the daily grind of the day. My goal with the blog is to celebrate life and post photos daily as a love letter of all things happy!

365 Days of Happy: Day 8- Basking in the Sun!

I don't know about you, but I have big time SpRiNg FeVeR! Right now I'm dreaming of sunshine, swimming, and all things warm as I look outside at the dreary, snowy surroundings. Jason and I went to Mexico this summer, and this picture makes me happy on days like today. Dear SPRING- can't wait to see you!

365 Days of Happy: Day 7- York Street Cafe

On Friday night, Jason and I went to the York Street Cafe in Newport, KY. We absolutely LOVE the food and the atmosphere makes it a truly HAPPY place. York St. Cafe is an old pharmacy, and the built-in, wooden shelves that line the narrow room are filled with all sorts of knickknacks and antiques. They have everything from a leg lamp to a Spuds Mackenzie collection. It is such a fun and eclectic atmosphere, plus the food is totally scrumptious. I definitely recommend the conversation platters- DELISH!

365 Days of Happy: Day 6- Sunflowers

This fall, Jayme and I discovered beautiful Gorman Heritage Farm. It is a 120-acre working and educational farm located in Evendale, Ohio. They have an amazing sunflower field there that is truly breathtaking. Jayme and I got some great photos of Kasey, my adorable goddaughter, while we were there.

365 Days of Happy: Day 5- Sunsets

Pretty sunsets make me so happy. There was an absolutely beautiful sunset on my drive home this evening- I wish I had packed my camera! Lakeside sunsets are my absolute favorite! There is nothing quite like a sunset over water. Absolutely magnificent!

365 Days of Happy: Day 4- Findlay Market

Findlay Market is one of my all time favorite places that I just discovered this year! One man Jason and I met there described it as being "the closest thing to Europe that you will find in the U.S." We had such fun exploring Findlay Market this summer- we couldn't get enough. It is the perfect outing for a Sunday afternoon: Farmer's Market, lunch at Angelina's, wine tasting at Market Wines...Just thinking about it makes me long for summer and warm weather. I don't want to say too much, because I'm sure that different aspects (food, shops, etc.) of Findlay Market will be on (MANY) future posts. There are just so many happy Findlay Market things to gush about! If you haven't been there yet and live in the Cincinnati area, you MUST check it out!

365 Days of Happy: Day 2- Cincinnati Museum Center

The Cincinnati Museum Center (Union Terminal) is by far my favorite building in Cincinnati. The Art Deco style and beautiful architecture blow me away every time I step through the doors. It is definitely one of my "happy" places. The rotunda is absolutely spectacular! I remember being totally amazed as a young girl that my "whisper" voice could carry to the other side of the vast rotunda. I HEART the Cincinnati Museum Center- It is truly a cherished landmark in Cincinnati!

365 Days of Happy: Day 1-Jason

Hi there~Today is my first official post of "365 Days of Happy." My first photo is of my husband, Jason, who has brought so much happiness to my life. So many words come to mind when I think of Jason: positive, creative, inspiring, loving, kind, strong.... the list goes on and on.... We were married in December 2008, and it has been a great first year. I look forward to many more amazing years as we continue this journey of marriage together.
